Manuscripts of Stage Plays from the Museum and Gallery in Prostějov
In 2026, the Museum and Gallery in Prostějov made available online three manuscripts of stage plays from the beginning of the nineteenth century, namely the texts Loutníci aneb Veselá bída [The Lute Players, or the Merry Poverty] by Emanuel Schikaneder (shelfmark Br 97), Kýž bych se byl neoženil [I wish I had not married] by Jan Nepomuk Štěpánek (Br 98), and Lesní duch, aneb uhlíři v dubovém oudolí [The Forest Spirit, or the Charcoal Burners in an Oak Valley] by Karel Friedrich Hensler (Br 99). All three manuscripts entered the museum’s collections from the estate of the Czech journalist and writer Oldřich Seykora.
