Historical Records from the Collections of the Museum of Bohemian Paradise in Turnov

In 2026, the Museum of Bohemian Paradise in Turnov made available a pair of documents with historical records related to the region. The author of older records (shelfmark R 133), which relate to the period 1753–1772, was Antonín František Ederer, a burgher from Turnov. Their older part about the events of 1753–1772 was written at once, while the notes for the years 1796–1807 are probably contemporary with the events. The author of the second set of records (R 110) was Václav Plachta, the castle chaplain in Svijany. His notes were written in the years 1833–1846, but they also contain information about older events.
